Street work
Street workers (SW) are present in all the MRCs of the Outaouais region, reaching out to excluded and marginalized people. They take a harm reduction approach to sexual health and drug use.
To reach out to people, SWs invest time and presence in the streets, parks, community organizations, private residences, or meet people where they are. In a context of housing crisis, lack of resources, social inequalities, overdoses and precariousness, they intervene according to the needs of the people they reach on a daily basis, with the aim of improving their well-being.
